In his book, Jack traces his progression from Pittsburgh to China, detailing his reasons for making the unconventional big leap East; candidly describes the steep learning curve he faced while establishing ASIMCO Technologies, which eventually became one of the most important players in China’s automotive components industry; shares the most important lesson he learned while doing business in China – the importance of closing the management gap by developing and empowering a strong, local management team and focusing on China’s new generation of managers; and passes on his understanding of how China works, no matter the industry.
